4 September 2012: Three female golfers enjoyed the best possible preparation for next week’s Faldo Series Grand Final when they teamed up with Series graduate Henrietta Zuel in the recent ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters pro-am.

“It was a great experience to spend time with Henni who played in the Faldo Series for several years, was a member of Team Faldo and finished third on the LET the day before,” said Amber Ratcliffe of Royal Cromer Golf Club.  “We are all thankful to Sir Nick and ISPS for this opportunity.  We now see what it takes to become a LET player”.

Ratcliffe was joined in the Ladies European Tour pro-am at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club in southern England by fellow 16-year-olds Gabriella Cowley (West Essex) and Sophie Keech (Lyme Regis).  The English trio will join Sir Nick Faldo and more than 80 top international golfers for the 16th Faldo Series Europe Grand Final at Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland on September 11-13.

Supported by The R&A, ISPS, the European Tour and Lough Erne Resort, the 2012 Faldo Series Europe schedule featured a record 20 tournaments in 14 countries including six in England plus others in Bahrain, Ireland, Chile, the Czech Republic, Greece, Wales, Austria, Brazil, Germany, The Netherlands, Scotland, Slovakia and Russia.

Established in 1996, 38 Faldo Series tournaments now take place in 28 countries worldwide with more than 7,000 golfers participating each year.  Past winners include Major Champions Rory McIlroy and Yani Tseng.
