18 June 2013: Sir Nick Faldo’s global golf development programme will break new ground when the first ever Faldo Series Italy Championship tees off on July 18-20 at Golf Club Toscana in Tuscany.  With entries now open, the country’s top young golfers are set to benefit as they compete for a spot in the Grand Final.

12 June 2013: The Faldo Series will return to Brazil for a sixth year when its annual South America Championship tees off at Damha Golf Club in Sao Paulo on July 11-13.  Five winners will join Sir Nick Faldo at the season-ending Grand Final and the overall boys’ champion will play in a professional event on the PGA Tour Latino America.

03 June 2013: The second Faldo Series Austria Championship will return to Waidhofen Golf Resort in Waidhofen an der Thaya on July 5-7, organisers have announced.  Five winners will join Sir Nick Faldo at the season-ending Grand Final.

“More than 50 golfers took part in our first ever Austria Championship in 2012,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “I was really impressed with the way the winners went on to perform at last year’s Grand Final.  I hope their success, along with the support of AT Golf, will help inspire others and continue to grow the event.”

30 May 2013: Oliver Farrell completed a superb double by winning the Faldo Series UK Championship at Trentham Golf Club for the second year in a row. The 16-year-old added a 73 to his brilliant opening round of 68 to retain the title he won in Staffordshire, England 12 months ago.

“It feels great to win at Trentham again which is a course that really suits my eye,” said Farrell of Evesham Golf Club who finished on three under par to win by one from Jamie Dick.  “I’m really looking forward to meeting Sir Nick again and I want to win the Grand Final this time.”

17 May 2013: Entries for the Faldo Series UK Championship at Pyle & Kenfig on July 9-10 will close on Friday 24 May. Talented young golfers from Wales only have a few more days to be part of Sir Nick Faldo’s global golf development programme in 2013.

17 May 2013: Entries for the Faldo Series UK Championship at Panmure on June 26-27 will close on Friday 24 May.  Talented young golfers from Scotland only have a few more days to be part of Sir Nick Faldo’s global golf development programme in 2013.

Competitors will have a chance to qualify for the 17^th Faldo Series Grand Final, the 54-hole end-of-season event hosted by the six-time Major winner.  Five age-category winners at Panmure – three boys and two girls – will go through to the World Amateur Golf Ranking event, with all local expenses covered.

10 May 2013: Sir Nick Faldo has announced that his global golf development programme will return to Angkor Golf Resort in Siem Reap in 2013.  Golfers from across the region will compete for a spot in the Asia Grand Final when the second Faldo Series Cambodia Championship tees off on June 29-30. 

30 April 2013: The second Faldo Series Chile Championship will be held at Club de Golf La Dehesa in Santiago on May 17-18, organisers have announced.  The country’s top young golfers took part in last year’s inaugural event and an even bigger field is predicted for 2013 at the new venue.

18 April 2013: Olivia Mehaffey won the sixth Faldo Series Ireland Championship by two shots with consecutive rounds of 72 over the Faldo Course at Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland.  The Ireland girls’ squad member beat 134 competitors to the title, the largest ever field for the event.

12 April 2013: 19-year-old Paul Kinnear won the second Faldo Series UK Championship of 2013 with a thrilling play-off victory over Jack Haines at West Lancashire Golf Club in Liverpool.

Kinnear (Formby) and 20-year-old Haines (Buckinghamshire) were both paired together in the Boys’ Under-21 division but could not be separated on four over par after 36 holes of regulation play.  Four extra holes were required to separate the players before Kinnear eventually triumphed in the sudden-death play-off.

5 April 2013: Billy Spooner won the first Faldo Series UK Championship of the 2013 season with a superb one-under-par 70 at Moortown Golf Club in Yorkshire.  The England squad member finished three shots clear of his nearest challenger after the event was shortened to 18 holes due to snow.

“This is my first time playing on the Faldo Series and it feels great to win, especially in such testing conditions,” said Spooner of Boston Golf Club in Lincolnshire.  “I’m really looking forward to meeting Sir Nick, he’s a winner and it will be great to learn from him at the final.”

25 March 2013: Sir Nick Faldo has announced that his global golf development programme will create opportunity for young golfers in Italy for the first time in 2013.  The Faldo Series Italy Championship will take place at the Golf Club Toscana in the Province of Grosseto for the next three years, starting with the inaugural event on July 18-20.

15 March 2013, Shenzhen, China:  Luo Xue-Wen was crowned the first Faldo Series Champion from China in the seventh Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen.  Winners also hailed from Indonesia, The Philippines, Scotland and Chinese Taipei.

13 March 2013, Shenzhen, China:  Cheng Ssu-Chia fired a stunning 65 to take a first-round lead in the seventh Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills Golf Club in China.  The 15-year-old girl from Chinese Taipei is one ahead of a record field who ended the day with a short-game clinic from Sir Nick Faldo.

7 March 2013: The largest-ever field for a Faldo Series Asia Grand Final will join Sir Nick Faldo at Mission Hills Golf Club in China on March 13-15.  A total of 84 golfers from 17 countries will compete for the 2013 title.

“We have an exciting week planned as we aim to give opportunity to golfers both on and off the course,” said the six-time Major winner.  “My team and I look forward to spending time with competitors, sponsors and younger children from the local community as we celebrate another season of growth for the Faldo Series in Asia and across the globe.”

25 February 2013: Sir Nick Faldo will expand his golf development efforts in the Middle East with the launch of a new Faldo Series tournament in the United Arab Emirates.  The Middle East Championship will be held at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club in Abu Dhabi for the next three years, starting this year on April 17-18.

19 February 2013: Six-Time Major Champion, Sir Nick Faldo is bringing the Faldo Series to the US with a full-time residential academy at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Arizona. 

11 February 2013: Jordan Surya Irawan fired a closing 70 to secure victory in the sixth Faldo Series Indonesia Championship at the Damai Indah Golf BSD Course in West Java.  18-year-old Irawan was one of five golfers to qualify for the Asia Grand Final in March.

Irawan added a 70 to a superb opening round 66 to win by six from Fahmi Reza.  Both players secured a spot in the seventh Asia Grand Final, to be hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at Mission Hills Golf Club in China.

23 January 2013: Damai Indah Golf will again host the country’s top young golfers when the sixth Faldo Series Indonesia Championship returns to the BSD Course in Jakarta on February 7-8. Competitors will be inspired by Cahyo Adhitomo who last year became the first Indonesian to win a Grand Final title.

Golfers aged 12 to 21 will compete over 36 holes at the BSD Course in West Java. Three boys and two girls will qualify for the seventh Asia Grand Final, to be hosted by the six-time Major winner at Mission Hills Golf Club in China on March 13-15.

16 January 2013: After recently releasing the revised version of “Swing for Life,” with Simon & Schuster’s Atria division, and announcing two new Faldo Design projects at Donald Trump’s Doral Resort, Sir Nick Faldo will spend three days at the PGA of America Trade Show in Orlando on January 23, 24 and 25 to introduce three new business ventures.
